"Above is a title treatment and pencil study for a cartoon strip I'm currently working on for a newsletter. I'm endeavoring to capture the humor and diversity of working in an elementary school. The teachers, staff and students are all animals, of course, hence the title. The pencil tests are of two of the characters. Mr. Grizzly is modeled after a close friend of mine, Charlie Ellis. Ms. Whiskers is not modeled after anyone in particular, but I think I know this person."
